What happened on FinCart in May 2018?

May was the first full month in operation for FinCart, and what a month!

We added 30 new articles to the store and saw a big increase in visitors, with nearly 400 financial planners using the site last month.

Our most popular article in May was Climbing the pension mountain, followed by Is it time to scrap inheritance tax? and Dealing with the financial affairs of someone who has died.

On the technical side, we migrated FinCart to a much faster, UK-based webhost who specialise in secure e-commerce store hosting. This migration dramatically reduced the page load time for our site visitors, by some 86%.

We made some improvement to the site navigation, including the ability to go directly to the shop areas for retirement, investment, personal finance and mortgage articles.

During the month we launched partnerships with a small number of affiliates who will be introducing the benefits of FinCart to their customers. If you would like to become an affiliate of FinCart, please email martin@bamfordmedia.co.uk to find out more.

We also carried out a study which discovered that the average IFA website blog is nearly six months out of date! Thank you to FP Today Magazine who ran the story here.

A big thank you to everyone who has purchased articles from FinCart since our launch in April.

We’ve got several items in development for June, including the launch of a monthly subscription package allowing access to an unlimited number of new articles each month. Watch this space for more news on that offer.

And of course we’ll also be adding lots of new articles to the site this month, with the goal of reaching 100 articles available to purchase by the end of June.
