Chancellor Rishi Sunak has pledged to pay a grant equivalent to 80% of the average monthly profits, over the past three years, to help self-employed people cope with the financial impact of Covid-19. The grant will be capped at £2,500 a month, lasting three months. It will be the start of June at the earliest before the grant is paid as a lump sum.
