What impact did rising interest rates have on plans to move home? That was the question tackled by a new survey, looking at our home moving intentions. According to the research, carried out before and after the latest interest rate hike, the proportion of British adults planning a house move in the next six months fell from 8% to 6%. The proportion had been consistent at 8% throughout 2018, until the Bank of England decision to increase interest rates from 0.5% to 0.75% in August.
