Rising property prices have placed home ownership just out of reach for a growing number of people, resulting in some interesting changes to the shape of the rental market in the UK. There are an estimated 17 million people renting homes in the UK. New research suggests that more than two thirds of these renters have no plans to purchase a property. This equates to around 12 million adults.
