It’s interesting times for the property market. With the threat of rising interest rates, and continued economic uncertainty around the outcome of Brexit negotiations, there seems to be a marked slowing in housing market activity. Some new research shows that the number of people moving house has fallen during the first half of the year. Homemovers now account for less than half of housing market activity. In fact, it’s the first time the number of homemovers have fallen behind the number of first time buyers since 1995.
